"Project Brief: This heritage conservation project of rejuvenating and redeveloping the existing Palace compound in Gangtok, containing the Chogyal Palace and Tsuklakhang Monastery by providing additional infrastructure, retrofitting the old heritage buildings including the monastery, re-developement of the compound and reviving the palace compound to reflect on its glorious past.
The project aims to conserve the old and bring in new infra structure still maintaining the sanctity of the place based on the demand of the current situation and yet planning of the future. " - GSCDL
